“This scholarship program was truly life changing. Being in a radically inclusive environment did nothing but empower me and my peers to be radical thinkers in the work we'll create. I am so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a talented and kind community of artists.”
UCHENNA AGBU,
2024 Scholar
“One of the biggest takeaways I feel from this program is the power of having someone believe in you. Marginalized people so often have to work so much harder to prove their worth and faith is rarely given without bounds. To have Cody, who I have looked up to for so long, and so much of the community invest their time, wisdom, and energy into empowering and uplifting me because they believe in my potential and this cohort's power to be the future of the theatre industry has been life-changing.”

“The CRR Scholarship program felt like a breath of fresh air. It nurtured my soul and my artistic spirit in a way that I thought was unimaginable, and made me feel like I belonged in a place, career, and life that I always felt was practically unattainable.”

“Being able to connect and foster relationships with fellow artists of color who place an emphasis on humanity is an experience I’ll hold onto for the rest of my lifetime!”

“My time with the CRR Scholarship Program has truly been invaluable to me. The sense of community and belonging that I found amongst our cohort is like nothing else I have experienced in higher education. I have been given the tools to continue to advocate for myself and other BIPOC in the theatre community and have made such meaningful connections through this program.”
